It exists to answer one narrow, verifiable question — does an organization appear in the latest cited official authorization register? — and to make every answer traceable to its source.
Open Health Tourism is an independent, non-governmental source index. It reports whether an organization appears in the cited official authorization records as of the displayed source date. It does not issue certificates, accredit providers, assess clinical quality or act on behalf of any government authority.
What it does not do
- It does not issue, renew, suspend or cancel authorizations.
- It does not accredit or certify providers, or assess clinical quality.
- It does not rank, recommend or advertise providers.
- It does not treat a commercial brand as a licensed name without evidence.
Scope today
Coverage begins with Türkiye healthcare facilities, built as a jurisdiction adapter so additional countries can be added without rewriting the core. Facilitator coverage is pending lawful data access. See Türkiye coverage and the methodology.
